Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex allows gamers to play as one of 3 characters from the popular series, with the story beginning with Major Kusanagi and Section 9 officer Bateau slowly uncovering a criminal conspiracy.
A unique aspect of the game means that players can temporarily control individual members on the enemy side, allowing a player to attack in a highly original and satisfying manner. Your unsuspecting opponents are initially confused as one of their own starts mowing them down, and when they finally realise what's up and gun their 'comrade' down, control reverts to the player who remains completely unharmed and ready to cause more mayhem!!!
During the games 12 levels, 15 conventional first-person weapons, such as machine guns, missile launchers, and sniper rifles are made available. These are also used in the co-op and Deathmatch multiplayer modes, which allow up to 4 players to frag it out over 7 exclusive maps in frantic split-screen action. The single player mode, however, is the key to the experience, offering a host of hidden features and no less than 10 levels of difficulty to ensure a challange for every gamer.
